When I was test fitting the crossbar to the Subaru engine I could not get both engine mounts to go through the KEP holes. So I loosened the Subaru mount so that it had some play.

And it fit perfectly. | |

Here is a view of the crossbar from the left side of the engine. | |

There is a good finger width of space between the crossbar and KEP exhaust header. | |
