Here I am fitting the brass junction to the marine hose. Its a very, very tight fit. I had to use a vice to hold the hose in place while I pushed and twisted real hard. |

This is a generic hose I used on the other end of the junction. It will attach to the VW plastic line from the front. |

|
|
|
The marine hose goes on to the thermostat housing. Easy fit. I ended up using double pipe clamps on all connection where this kind of pipe was used. No leaks after a year of driving. |

Here is a view from underneath - passenger side - back of van is the left side of photo. You can see the brass T junction and the flow of coolant to the thermostat housing. |
